RNC Propagandist Himbara exaggerates a “featherweight” hostile stunt

RNC mouthpiece David Himbara, paid by Museveni and Rujugiro to smear Rwanda, is trying to generate interest for a failed anti-Rwanda public relation stunt. He writes that an All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) is condemning Rwanda’s nominated diplomatic envoy to UK. The paid propagandist, however, skips the crucial part of explaining what an APPG is opting to confuse it to a parliamentary organ.

The UK parliament website defines APPG as “All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament”. The websites adds that many APPG choose to involve individuals and organizations from outside Parliament. There are literary hundreds of APPGs on all sorts of issues (Social Media, Fatherhood, Beer, BBC, etc…) The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Magnitsky Sanctions is one of many and should not be confused with a parliamentary committee or a formal organ of any sort.

What the RNC Mouthpiece is trying to amplify is at best a small interest group and their social media account confirms their “featherweight” status. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Magnitsky Sanctions opened a twitter account in June 2021; it follows 7 accounts and is followed by 205 accounts. Moreover, officially, the Magnisty group has 6 “officers” compared to 21 for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Beer. Himbara is truly stirring a storm in a teacup!

But that should be expected, Himbara is a fraudster since his early days in high school. He changed his name from Murunganwa to Himbara after failing his high school with straight Fs.
