Rwanda, in the fight against the Covid-19, has been at the forefront and proactive with sensible measures. This irritated Museveni who repeatedly unleashes his paid mouthpiece David Himbara to nick-pick every single decision taken by Rwanda while he hoodwinks Ugandans with vague promises. Even with the emergence of the Omicron variant, the RNC mouthpiece David Himbara aka Murunganwa – sponsored by Museveni and Rujugiro – continues his social media attacks to divert from Museveni’s failure to combat Covid-19.
When the pandemic was announced in February 2020, Rwanda immediately reacted with measures like lockdowns, social distancing, masking, testing and vaccinations. From Kampala, all Museveni could do is propaganda lies that his “scientists” were about to manufacture a cure or a vaccine for the virus. So far, the only thing his scientist have managed to produce is hand sanitizer!
In reality, Museveni simply waits for proactive measures from countries like Rwanda and rushes to copy and follow while spitefully instructing Himbara to attack with smear those that outshine him with tangible results. For Himbara, who changed his name from Murunganwa after failing high school to sneak into University, pointlessly smearing Rwanda is a lucrative opportunity. He received and paid Podesta –a lobbyist firm– over USD $440,000 between 2015 and 2017 to facilitate his anti-Rwanda propaganda from Rujugiro and Museveni.
Once again, Himbara’s paymaster has taken no measure in response to the COVID-19 Omicron variant. Museveni, as always, opts to unleash his hostile propaganda on Rwanda instead of dealing with his own internal issues. Hiring fraudster like Himbara or sponsoring terrorist organizations like RNC to destabilize Rwanda will not help Museveni deliver his miracle cures and vaccines.
