Gen. Neva and his electoral “miracles” in Burundi

Despite all its failures, the ruling party in Burundi is preparing what the humorous have dubbed a “miraculous victory.” It means the worst government in Burundi’s history can only win by some “miracle”, of course meaning fraud and violence in massive doses.

Under the buffoonish Evariste Ndayishimiye aka Gen. Neva, the ruling party CNDD-FDD has absolutely collapsed the country, turning it into one of the most failed state on earth.

The economy, the army and even the most basic social norm are now almost non-existent, yet CNDD will soon claim victory in the so-called legislative poll.

The country, under the Ndayishimiye folies, has no foreign currency, it has no fuel and the capital city has no running water for the past three days. Long queues of city dwellers carrying jerrycans of water followed by long queues of cars at empty petrol stations is now the most common sight in Bujumbura, just like thousands queueing at bus stations, waiting for transportation that never comes.

The country, under the “DDs” has collapsed, irrevocably and that’s just a fact.

And so, as a diversion, the ruling junta has done the only thing it knows: reignite ethnic tensions.

They initially pumped the toxic ideology that “Tutsis were about to invade from DR Congo and Rwanda “ (to justify the DDs senseless but evil support of ethnic cleansing in DR Congo).

Their racist coalition with Tshisekedi’s forces and the FDLR genocidaires faced a bruising defeat. Militarily, Ndayishimiye and his party proved to be weak and forged a reputation as cowards on the battlefield. Ndayishimiye who was hoping for some military credentials only gained thousands of Burundian soldiers death.

However, Ndayishimiye’s party will still attribute itself a miraculous electoral victory. “No one wants CNDD-FDD, especially Ndayishimiye”, a human rights activist explained, “In free and fair elections, they would not even get 10%”. According to the activist, Burundi has become like North Korea where everyone has been threatened to vote CNDD-FDD. “Would you vote for someone unable to deliver fuel, water, medicine? Would you vote for someone who literally sells soldiers as mercenaries?”, the activist asked.

Fact is: under CNDD-FDD, the country began a descent into the abyss; the country is reaching new lows under Ndayishimiye!
