Tshisekedi lackey Masunzu appointed FDLR liaison, with Burundi a training hub for FDLR

In a surprising and controversial move, Warmonger Tshisekedi has appointed Gen. Pacifique Masunzu as the new liaison between DRC and genocidal FDLR, replacing the late FDLR criminal, Cirimwami.

The decision has sparked concern across regional and international circles, especially as new details emerge about a coordinated military initiative involving Burundi, Kinshasa, and the FDLR.

Sources on the ground confirm that shortly after his appointment, Masunzu – a traitor to his Banyamulenge people – met with senior FDLR leaders in Walikale, North Kivu.

These meetings, attended by various pro-Tshisekedi regime militia allies, culminated in a series of offensive operations toward Pinga. However, when confronted by the M23 FDLR-aligned forces retreated failing to hold ground.

What raises even more concern is Burundi’s growing involvement. The Burundian army is now providing extensive support to the FDLR, transforming parts of the country into a safe haven and training hub.

Over 3,000 FDLR fighters many of them recruits from eastern DRC and refugee camps in Zambia and Malawi have undergone military training facilitated by Burundian forces.

Initially based in the Kibira forest, the training camps have since been relocated to Ruyigi province, following repeated clashes with the Rusesabagina’s FLN militia.

Kibira, a known FLN stronghold, has witnessed sporadic but intense confrontations between rival rebel factions.

This initiative is not an isolated Burundian venture. Both Kinshasa and Gitega have coordinated closely in this operation sharing logistical responsibilities, strategic planning, and command oversight.

The new recruits are being deployed gradually into eastern Congo under a joint command structure involving DRC, Burundi, and FDLR officers.

Funding, according to insiders, is largely coming from Kinshasa a move that might reflect a deeper strategic gamble by Tshisekedi regime as it seeks to counter the rapid territorial gains made by the M23 in the Kivu provinces.

Despite recent heavy defeats at the hands of M23/AFC forces, the FDLR maintains a presence in North and South Kivu. In areas like Rusayo and its surrounding territories, they continue to operate roadblocks and exert influence underscoring the group’s enduring relevance despite years of international condemnation and military pressure.

As the situation continues to unfold, questions remain about the peace initiative led by Doha and Washington.

Tshisekedi is totally against peace, to no one’s surprise.
