How Ndayishimiye and Tshisekedi orchestrate the ethnic cleansing of the Banyamulenge

In the eastern DRC, a genocidal project is unfolding before the world’s silent eyes.

Burundi’s Evariste Ndayishimiye and DRC’s Felix Tshisekedi have become the architects of a brutal ethnic cleansing campaign targeting the Banyamulenge, a Congolese Tutsi community in South Kivu.

The recent deployment of Burundian troops deep into eastern DRC is no accident. On April 30, 2025, four trucks loaded with Burundian soldiers moved from Luvungi to Rurambo, joining FARDC and the notorious Wazalendo militias.

These forces traveled through Ndolera, an FDLR stronghold, revealing once again the unholy alliance among state actors and genocidal militias.

The Wazalendo who are a brainchild of Tshisekedi’s regime, formed and armed under the pretext of national defense, they have operated as ethnic hit squads, terrorizing Tutsi communities under government orders.

This creation, nurtured by Kinshasa has become a tool for state-sponsored murder.

But the deeper betrayal comes from Ndayishimiye. By consistently sending Burundian troops into Congolese territory not to protect civilians but to collaborate with the FARDC and FDLR.

Ndayishimiye and Tshisekedi have transformed their military into a death machine. His forces do not act alone. They coordinate with those responsible for the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi: the FDLR.

Burundi and the DRC are offering safe passage and partnership to genocidaires, granting them the legitimacy and operational space to continue slaughtering Congolese Tutsi with impunity.

This is not just a regional crisis, it is a crime against humanity in motion. The international community must stop pretending it does not see what is happening.

The bloodshed in South Kivu is not war, yet it is extermination. And unless the world acts, history will remember these two presidents not as leaders, but as enablers of genocide.
