For the last few weeks, a flurry of military activity in DR Congo accelerated in the eastern province of North-Kivu. It culminated with the fall of Goma, the provincial capital, to the Congolese AFC/M23 liberation force fighting for the rights of DR Congo’s Tutsi communities, after decades of state-sanctioned discrimination and disenfranchisement.
While it is public knowledge that Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye aka Gen. Neva was bribed by his Congolese counterpart Felix Tshisekedi, to supply Burundian troops to fight in Congo. Details of the dirty deal are now trickling into public, complete with tales of an elaborate plot to destabilise Rwanda.
Burundi sent more than 10,000 troops with the specific mission to transpose Congo’s internal conflicts to Rwandan territory. Initially sneaking these Burundian troops secretly into DRC, Burundi would later move more units – under the disguise of the EAC regional peacekeeping force – to DR Congo.
However, Tshisekedi then expelled all EAC forces (because they refused to invade Rwanda as idiotic Tshisekedi wanted) while keeping the Burundian contingent in South and North Kivu. The two allies then signed a rushed, undefined, and undisclosed bilateral treaty in which Burundi was to send even more troops, in preparation of an operation dubbed “Caterpillar”.
The name “Caterpillar” is self explanatory. The idea was to secretly amass a huge force, to move in waves, onto Rwanda. It would appear that after numerous attempts to attack Rwanda from the Nyungwe-Kibira forest on the Rwanda-Burundi border, Tshisekedi and Ndayishimiye hoped to attack from the Goma-Gisenyi frontier.
Tshisekedi was to provide cash and equipment, while Gen. Neva provided troops to reinforce FDLR, Wazalendo and other terrorist militias that adhered to their anti-Rwanda, anti-Tutsi hate ideology. Both had agreed to use their territories as operational bases and both synchronized hate speech and a barrage of media warfare against Rwanda.
Their troops concentration instead turned out to be a “Chair à canon” (Cannon fodder) deal, with Burundi troops being the cannon fodder. (Fools die hard!).
Tshisekedi’s request for Burundian troops was meant to bolster his numbers against the M23 (and in his warped thinking also against Rwanda), with the Burundian president in cahoots (though of course Gen. Neva needed Tshilombo’s money even more).
But now, things have gone very badly for this coalition of evil clowns. M23 has utterly humiliated them; it has routed the fools, and beaten them like stray baboons.
A tour of the military hospital in Bujumbura reveals that Tshisekedi (literally) paid to have Burundians die for his moronic ambitions (of ethnically cleansing Tutsis in DRC, and after that of course in Rwanda – think why these two buffoons, Tshilombo and Ndayishimiye, work with FDLR).
However, Ndayishimiye aka Gen. Neva also had another (ulterior) motive to sign onto the “Burundian-soldiers-for-cash” deal. The CNDD-FDD ruling party, it turns out, have long embarked on a deliberate program to weaken the Burundian army, in order to replace it with the Imbonerakure – the “DD” armed youth wing militia, modeled on Rwanda Interahamwe.
This required Neva and his henchmen to figure out what to do with non CNDD-FDD soldiers in the army. What better way then, than to send them to certain death in DRC (even as useful cannon fodder) with the added bonus of getting paid for it?
“They sent us to die, they did this on purpose”, a wounded, hospitalized soldier cried. “We had no ammunition, no equipment, at times we even lacked water!” Asked about the high death toll, the soldier burst out in tears. “Maybe you don’t understand, we are sent to Congo to die, even Congolese officers knew it!”
For every battle, hundreds of Burundian are sent to “test” positions, or in simpler terms to act as live targets, in order to detect the opponent’s capacity.
“They want us to get shot at, bombed, and captured”, the wounded soldier narrated from his (stinking) hospital bed. “And if you refuse, they bluntly laughed at you and say tumewapa pesa mukufiye Congo (We paid you to die in Congo!)
For now, defeated in North Kivu, the Tshisekedi Ndayishimiye alliance with its coalition of genocidal forces (FDLR, Wazalendo, Mai-Mai) will now regroup in South-Kivu. Despite their best efforts to hide their true agenda, with lies and propaganda, the fall of Goma lifts the veil on their macabre plot.
They are completely exposed.
