Reverien Ndikuriyo the Secretary-General of Burundi’s ruling party recently declared during a press conference that Burundian forces were sent to DRC “to assist a neighboring country in need.”
That’s true in as far as helping out a fellow criminal government, a regime massacring a section of its population, is concerned.
The DDs in Bujumbura are genocidal maniacs themselves.
Ndikuriyo may try to fool people with talk that portrays Burundi as if it were sending troops on a noble mission. That’s for children to believe.
The president of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye aka Gen. Neva sent Burundian soldiers to join Tshisekedi’s military coalition – of FARDC (the Congo national army), the genocidal FDLR, the terrorist Wazalendo, and other bandits – in massacring Tutsi Congolese civilians. Working on the lie that “they are fighting the M23”, and the even bigger lie that “M23 is Rwandan.”
What a depraved world!
On 22 last month waromonger Tshisekedi made a quick visit to Bujumbura airport where he had a one-on-one meeting, behind closed doors, with his Burundian counterpart. Tshisekedi was asking for more Burundian soldiers.
According to reliable, eyewitness sources, during their meeting Tshisekedi handed Gen. Neva suitcases filled with cash (US dollars), payment for deploying additional Burundian troops to conflict zones in eastern DR Congo.
Following this transaction, an estimated 15 battalions of Burundian soldiers were dispatched to there, and another will be deployed soon.
Ndayishimiye receives millions of dollars while his poor soldiers are taken to the slaughterhouse, and to add injury to insult for them, they rarely get paid their wages.
Yesterday M23 killed dozens of Burundian soldiers in Nungu Axis, Masisi, and captured hundreds. Some of the shell shocked, highly demoralized fellows were even captured by the population in their houses, where they were trying to steal food.
The situation is very hard for the hungry Burundian soldiers. They are complaining that they have not been paid for seven months. They get sent to the frontlines (to be battered by M23 fire) while their greedy ruler Ndayishimiye gets rich, off their deaths and injuries.
One can be certain this isn’t sustainable.
Something has to give!
