While the Tshisekedi regime repeatedly smears Rwanda with accusations of “plundering its minerals”, evidence points to a much closer-to-home issue: Chinese nationals engaging in mineral exploitation in DRC.
Secret deals between Chinese operators and the Tshisekedi family are the real source of looting of DRC resources.
In December, last year 17 Chinese nationals and their Congolese and Burundian accomplices were arrested on charges of illegal exploition of minerals at the Kerembo site in the Rubimbi group, South Kivu. This was part of a larger operation in which around 60 individuals were detained. All the arrested individuals lacked proper migration documents.
How did they end up digging minerals in DRC?
Ask Tshisekedi, an incompetent criminal who signs deals underhand, without informing anyone. That ends up with those who engage in illegal activities on his behalf finding themselves in hot water.
But the Kinshasa clowns still have the audacity to claim “Rwanda exploits Congo,” and bla bla bla…
Reports indicate that, under orders from Tshisekedi’s office, the Chinese nationals were released without notifying the provincial governor. This shows that the Tshisekedi administration, particularly allegations implicating Tshisekedi’s son Antony, is directly engaged in secret mining deals with Chinese operators.
On January 4, South Kivu authorities presented other three more Chinese nationals who were arrested in possession of approximately 10 gold bars and US$ 800,000 in cash. These arrests highlight the scale of illegal mining operations and the big profits being made at the expense of the Congolese people.
Because people are so angry at being robbed blind, tensions in South Kivu are escalating, with reports of Chinese nationals being targeted and killed on the orders of provincial authorities. They are fed up with Tshisekedi family clandestine deals.
Still, despite all the mounting evidence of Chinese involvement in dubious resource exploitation, the corrupt thug Tshisekedi continues to point fingers at Rwanda.
But ordinary Congolese aren’t so stupid.
They see, and know who is robbing them.
Congolese people must ask: Will the illegal activities of these Chinese nationals be documented in the so-called “GENOCOST”?
How long will the regime continue to use Rwanda as a scapegoat to mask its own criminality, incompetence, and complicity in the plundering of national resources?
The Congolese must open their eyes and condemn Tshisekedi who is the real thief of DRC minerals and every other resource.
