EU funds for Congolese army equals EU financing genocide

Yesterday the European Union (EU) announced a package of 20 million Euros “to support the 31st brigade of the FARDC” in what they called ‘
“Rapid Intervention Operations” “to restore peace and fight terrorist groups.”

You really have to hand it to the EU when it comes to creatively naming the financing of ethnic cleansing and genocide!

Have the EU been on another planet all the time the motley collection of notoriously brutal thugs and war criminals known as the FARDC (the DR Congo national army) have been ravaging Congolese Tutsi communities in the east on pretext that the latter “are Rwandans”?

Has the EU been in deep slumber as the DR Congo thug of a ruler, Felix Tshisekedi has been mounting a campaign of extermination against the Tutsi communities, whose homelands are squarely in the DRC, on the absurd, deeply criminal pretext that they are Rwandans?!!!

This is the regime that the EU is arming? With the twisted logic that it is aid to help “fight terrorism”?

What a callous world we live in!

The 31st brigade, whose barracks are in the province of Maniema, moreover is composed largely of the genocidal FDLR – the mass murderers that Tshisekedi has integrated in his military (FARDC). But everyone knows what the FDLR mission is: terrorism against all people of Tutsi ethnicity that they can reach, and in the long run re-invade Rwanda to finish the genocide its parent groups, the Interahamwe militias and ex-FAR were routed before they could finish it.

These are the people the EU is funding on the pretext that it’s helping Tshisekedi “fight terrorism”.

By giving financial aid to the Tshisekedi’s 31 brigade (which has been benefiting from Belgian military training) and other logistical support, the EU is doing nothing but perpetuate the genocide of innocent DRC Tutsi civilians, as well as all other crimes against humanity that the FARDC/FDLR/ Wazalendo and other Congolese state-sponsored terrorists are inflicting on them.

The opportunistic alliance of the EU and Tshisekedi regime definitely is another dire turn of events likely to only exacerbate insecurity. It permits Tshisekedi’s criminal impunity, and weakens ongoing efforts by regional governments to resolve the Congolese conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

Madness!
