Kinshasa regime embarrasses itself again with fictitious claims of “20,000 Rwandan troops” in eastern DRC.

Unbelievable yet all too real – the “Tshilombian regime” has outdone itself again.

This time, they’ve concocted a new tale of “more than 20,000 Rwandan soldiers occupying several Congolese territories.” Credit them for the fecundity of their imagination. Just a day earlier, the DRC prime minister Judith Suminwa had been proclaiming a number of “4,000 Rwandan troops in DRC.”

This is a fundamentally dishonest regime, whose lack of seriousness is at the heart of the never-ending turmoil in their country.

The regime of Tshisekedi is only good at plundering its own country’s natural resources (or selling it to wealthy overseas interests for a pittance). The never ending lies (and blame games) against Rwanda are mere smokescreens, to deflect attention from Tshilombo’s staggering incompetence, and a myriad failures at governance.

His entire political survival hinges on inflaming Congolese “nationalism”, ever dredging differences between Rwanda, and weaponizing the collective hostility. The poor masses have nothing to eat, but they will have their anti-Rwanda rage to fall back on.

The Congolese Tutsi communities bear the brunt of the violence that stupid thug in Kinshasa unleashes, on claims those communities are “Rwandans”.

The DRC is mired in dysfunction of its own making, and no amount of hate-mongering can change that.

Tshisekedi ought to focus on healing his fractured nation, not inciting violence against Kinyarwanda-speaking communities, or at least that’s what an intelligent leader would do.

Alas, the country has no such luck.

It’s stuck with these third rate charlatans, who in the end will take the country down with them.
