Convicted genocide denier Ingabire Victoire Umuhoza (IVU) has once again revealed her true colours. She is an unrepentant and heartless criminal that only enjoys exploiting people’s suffering in futile efforts to win the accolade of an “opposition figure”.
Well, Ingabire who is best known as someone that was convicted of offenses of denial of genocide and who did prison time has continued her smears against the government of Rwanda. Now, she has teamed up with some foreign negative elements that have published an article in the Elephant (a Kenyan online publication) to smear the deal between Rwanda and the United Kingdom whereby asylum seekers are to have their cases heard in Rwanda.
Rwanda has made it clear it is a country looking to prioritise the dignity and rights of humanity, and that includes illegal migrants trafficked by ruthless gangs to Europe. These are people dying in the Mediterranean Sea, in Sahara deserts and in awful transit centers in European countries. Rwanda wants to give them a home, and dignity.
But you can count on IVU to distort the good intentions of Rwanda. She is just an opportunist of negativism. To no one’s surprise, Ingabire wants Rwanda to back off and concentrate on her discredited smears that there is “no freedom”, and other distortions.
But history won’t forget that Ingabire was arrested and sentenced to 15 years in 2013 after she was convicted of inciting the masses to revolt against the government, forming armed groups to destabilize the country, and minimizing the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
She is such a shameless opportunity who benefited from presidential clemency to be released from prison, only to abuse that clemency. She has written to the President many times begging for clemency, but when she got it, she became even more devoted to her terrorism plans.
IVU is just a criminal that should no longer be enjoying the presidential clemency.
