Greedy dictator Tshisekedi and his mafia cabal are walking on thin ice

Lately, the Congolese ruler Tshisekedi has found it harder to hide his corruption and the looting of Congolese natural resources behind closed curtains. This week exposed a glimpse of the money laundering behind him, his family, and his henchmen.

Early this week, Belgian police searched several properties linked to Tshisekedi family members in Belgium as part of an investigation into money laundering tied to mining revenues. This came after in mid-July 2025; a formal complaint was filed in a Belgian court against nine members of Tshisekedi’s family. They are accused of large-scale plundering of Congo’s mineral wealth. The case, brought by Katangese NGOs and former executives of the state-owned mining company Gécamines, names the president’s sons, brothers, cousins, sister-in-law, and even the First Lady herself.

Copper and cobalt from Haut-Katanga and Lualaba, minerals that would have transformed lives and lift millions of Congolese out of poverty, are instead enriching a ruling circle. At least tens of millions of euros vanish into private hands each month, and those hands are closely tied to the president’s own household.

As if that were not enough, another report emerged that Tshisekedi was involved in another financial scandal. The Tshisekedi regime sent $17.6 million to Mrs. Alina Habba Mildon, who has been described as an adviser to Tshisekedi. This is an iota of what Tshisekedi has been paying to buy proximity to President Trump.

Another unsurprising report exposed how the Tshisekedi regime embezzled $700 million intended for the Ebola response.

Tshisekedi is mired in quicksand. His corruption and the looting of the DRC are now plain for all to see. Yet shamelessly, some lobbyists, such as the Nigerian scammer Karl-Marx Edward Ikemefuna, also known as Von Batten, are still out there trying to whitewash criminal Tshisekedi. They continually beg Trump and his administration to shield their client and let him rule the DRC indefinitely.

Tshisekedi and his mafia cabal have been devouring the country since their first day in office. As the days go by, more of his scandals will be exposed.

Stay tuned.
