The louder the scream, the weaker the hand. On May 8, 2025, Tshisekedi’s Ministry of Interior released Communiqué No. 25, an unhinged manifesto blaming Rwanda and M23/AFC for every crime imaginable—massacres, rapes, torture, looting, and even bombing schools and hospitals. It read less like a government statement and more like the rant of a cornered tyrant whose empire is collapsing under its own lies.
This isn’t about justice. It’s about panic. It’s about a regime gasping for relevance in a region that has moved on.
Because let’s be honest: this is not a war against Rwanda. It’s a war against 10 million Congolese citizens who happen to speak Kinyarwanda. The M23/AFC movement has delivered something far more dangerous to Tshisekedi than any bullet: a vision. A proposal for an autonomous Kivu province—reunified, self-governing, and prosperous, much like under Mobutu’s Zaire. A future that includes Kinyarwanda speakers as full citizens, not targets.
And that scares the life out of him.
So what does he do? He throws tantrums. He clutches fake death tolls and cartoon accusations like a drowning man holding a bag of stones. He screams “Rwanda!” like a broken record skipping on the same tired groove.
But we’ve heard this song before.
This crisis isn’t new. In 1996, Julius Nyerere warned the world that Zaire was trying to expel Congolese Tutsi communities who had lived there for centuries. Nelson Mandela said no more genocides. Thabo Mbeki said the same in 2025: this war will never end until Congolese Rwandophones are treated like human beings.
But Tshisekedi isn’t listening. He’s too busy feeding propaganda soaked in blood and bile. He arms the FDLR, partners with Wazalendo warlords, and unleashes hell on Congolese communities that dare to assert their identity. He acts like Congo belongs to him alone—like eastern Congolese should be grateful to be ruled from a Kinshasa that’s never once protected them.
He fears what M23/AFC represents: not secession, but self-determination. Not war, but negotiated autonomy. Not destruction, but dignity.
And that’s why he screams. Because the lie is dying, and the truth is knocking on the door.
