It is no secret who is terrorizing the Congolese people today—and it is not Rwanda. The very regime Mukwege shields is responsible for mass displacement, targeted killings, and the failure to address root causes of conflict.
If Mukwege truly cared about peace, he would stop patronizing the Congolese plight with empty blame games. He would join the growing call for accountability and Inter-Congolese Dialogue, not deflection. Until then, he has no moral authority to accuse anyone. Real peace demands truth—and that starts by confronting those who commit crimes in plain sight.
