So, yesterday, November 5th, in Goma, another meeting between Rwanda and DRC took place, and within a short time Congolese merchants of misinformation were spreading the aforementioned lie.
According to the propaganda, Rwanda “represents M23, because Rwanda participates in peace talks to resolve conflict in eastern DRC”!
The lying “Muyayistes” (the DRC government spokesperson) think the world is stupid?
Rwanda engages in deliberations (such as the Luanda Peace process) strictly because Rwanda’s national security interests demand it! The regime of Tshisekedi has taken the very hostile stance of hosting the genocidal Rwandan militia, FDLR, and integrating this terrorist group into the Congolese national military, FARDC.
One wonders why, as the community of nations continues to endorse the Luanda Peace Process, DRC trolls continue to push this false narrative? It is because they know they (the Tshisekedi regime) are guilty of harboring FDLR, with in fact the goal of destabilizing Rwanda!
When they scream with falsehoods that “Rwanda represents M23”, they are projecting. They are accusing others of the very crime they are guilty.
For the record: whenever Rwanda attends talks to resolve Congolese conflict, it is there as a party with a very legitimate security concern, which can only be addressed by DRC neutralizing FDLR.
That’s all!
The meeting in Goma, under Angola’s facilitation, was yet another occasion to review the implementation of the Luanda Peace Process. A process moreover that the Tshisekedi regime was supposed to follow and neutralize FDLR, but instead of doing that they are using their social media trolls to push their narrative (that Rwanda was in the meeting representing M23).
What use is that lie?
Only Tshisekedi and his regime know. But it will never work.
In the Kinshasa rulers had a modicum of sense, they would address the root causes of the conflict in the DRC, which rests squarely with them.
Start by dismantling FDLR, or declaring it persona non grata in their country!
Of course with the Kinshasa cabal, one can never expect good sense.
