Human Rights Watch dumps another round of Goebbels-esque lies about Rwanda

The latest so-called “report” by Human Rights Watch, released on Tuesday, October 15, about alleged “torture in two prisons and a detention centre” in Rwanda, is yet another example of the deep-seated bias this Manhattan-based organization harbours against the current Rwandan government.

No one with a shred of fairness or objectivity can write a report like this. It’s a highly prejudiced document that reeks of an agenda, against Rwanda and its leadership.

But this isn’t surprising. HRW has always been known to dredge up anything that will paint Rwanda in a negative light.

Their latest “findings” are laughably based on YouTube interviews with alleged former prisoners who claim they were tortured.

That’s right—YouTube videos are now the foundation of their so-called research!

HRW’s entire case rests on the flimsy and unverified testimony of six anonymous prison officials and 12 detainees—most of whom are facing charges of murder, torture, and assault. These dubious characters are the Crown Jewels of HRW’s media-driven prosecution of Rwanda. The organization is so eager to push its narrative that it’s clear their researchers have long abandoned any shred of objectivity, to the extent they now manufacture “evidence”.

Anyone coming forward to HRW knows exactly what kind of “evidence” they’re expected to provide – doesn’t matter what! As long as it’s something that can be weaponized against the Rwandan government. Furthermore, it’s no secret that HRW has a long-standing practice of paying witnesses for their testimony. This so-called “evidence” is simply bought and paid for, tailored to fit the HRW narrative.

HRW has an agenda. It’s been so eager to discredit the RPF-led administration in Kigali they long ago abandoned any ethics (whatever flimsy ones they possessed) in this goal.

They engage in shoddy research, flawed methodologies, and outright fabrication of testimony, all designed to create sensationalist and false accusations.

This isn’t just our opinion—it’s a fact that even the organization’s own founder, the late Robert L. Bernstein, exposed in a 2009 op-ed in The New York Times.

Shame on HRW!
