Rwandans and friends of Rwanda have attested with shock how Tshisekedi mobilized groups both at home and in France to support the renowned genocide ideologue cum acidic anti-Rwanda propagandist, the Cameroon born writer Charles Onana.
During the first three days of his trial at the High-Court in Paris, where he is accused of trivializing, minimizing and denialism of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsis in Rwanda, Congolese have been abuzz with support of Onana both in Paris and on social media. Interestingly, the Onana-supporting mob is also pro-FDLR and rabidly anti-Rwanda.
While in Paris the presiding judge of the case had members of the Congolese mob kicked outside the courtroom for being noisy and disruptive – very typical of the behavior of these goons. Back in Kinshasa, Tshisekedi’s propaganda machine was in full swing (under the command of Tshisekedi mouthpiece Patrick Muyaya) busy trying to whitewash the Cameroonian genocide denier.
No doubt, the trial has effectively dismantled any lingering ambiguity about Tshisekedi’s true stance on peace in the region. Any façade of desiring peace has crumbled in the face of their partisanship in support of a virulent anti-Rwanda scribbler like Onana (and their ill-hidden support of FDLR).
On top of Tshisekedi’s recent reckless statements about fighting Rwanda’s Head of State “by all means”, while harboring every bloody militia sworn to commit even more genocide, chief of which is the FDLR, it is ever more evident Tshikombo desires no peace, which would happen if he were to act on the Nairobi and Luanda processes.
In Paris, as the court is set to pronounce itself on the case next week, the Kinshasa cabal (which obviously wields the chaos that Congolese mobs wanted to sow in the courtroom) has tipped its hand.
Onana, and everything Onana stands for aligns with Tshilombo’s wider strategy of destabilizing Rwanda.
Well, he can dream on, but he is like the kind of fool who sits in a tree with an axe, cutting the very branch on which he is standing!
