Defeated anti-Rwanda terror group’s funded mouthpiece David Himbara rode on British businessman, Bill Browder and DR Congo’s ruler Felix Tshisekedi’s defamatory statements on President Kagame to further apportion blame on Rwanda over the UK’s failed internal politics that have plunged the country into a deep migration crisis. However, the British leadership, Browder, and his like-minded ought to carry their cross towards addressing the immigration nightmare, dragging in Rwanda is a fruitless endeavor.
Bill Browder should come up with an alternative policy, not empty rhetoric meant to acquire relevance. A series of British political and business figures have been criticizing British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his predecessors’ Migration policy, but have failed to articulate their policy alternative to tame the crisis of thousands of immigrants who illegally cross into Britain. It has been established that people like Browder whom Himbara cheers up for libeling President Kagame, have interests in human trafficking businesses. These individuals found a lucrative venture in ferrying immigrants and see the Rwanda-UK deal as a stumbling block to their investments, thus opposing the deal and turning their hostile media campaign on Kagame and Rwanda as a country.
Kagame offered a workable solution to the UK’s migration crisis where the British Government had failed to solve the crisis. Those who criticize Rwanda maintain a deafening silence on their Government’s failure to address the most pressing issue in the UK’s history. Rather, their arguments are anchored on false information solicited by agenda-driven groups and individuals most of whom have had pending criminal cases or failed Rwanda’s accountability demands. Asked about Rwanda’s safety, former British PM Boris Johnson said “Let’s be clear, Rwanda is one of the safest countries in the world, globally recognized for its record of welcoming and integrating migrants.” It is high time Rwanda is saved from the UK’s voodoo politics. Offering a helping hand to save thousands of immigrants from extreme human suffering should never be rewarded with character assassination.
Kagame stays afloat and his reputation won’t be stained by name-calling stunts orchestrated by special interest groups & individuals. Rwanda’s Head of State has set the bar high in terms of effectiveness and efficiency in leadership, that’s on record. Comparing a globally recognized statesman, whose adept leadership competencies have impacted lives not only in his country but also on the continent, is sheer ignorance and dilution of facts. Mere name-calling or any other defamatory schemes by Tshisekedi or Browder won’t change him neither will they deter him from doing the right thing, not a chance.
