Those who saved their dogs while Tutsis were being raped and butchered should focus on animal rights, not Rwandans’ human rights

Rwanda-obsessed “human rights activists” and experts have zero to teach Rwandans about human rights. Not today, not ever, given their priorities and focus have always been elsewhere.

While Rwandans faced their darkest days in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, the world and human rights defenders went mute and deaf. Even those who had their mandate, commissioned to oversee peace and security through the United Nations, grabbed their cherished belongings, beloved pets; dogs, cats, you name it, and in the air they went.

Today, twenty-nine years later, the same deaf and mute unbothered human rights defenders, their cabal, and institutions decide that they now have a bigger voice and entitlement in teaching Rwandans about human rights- the rights that were non-existent during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

As Rwandans wailed, called for help, butchered in cold blood, and died, the world looked the other way while some nations unbothered debated what to do. The result? Inaction!

Dear self-appointed human rights defenders, activists, and alike, you have nothing to teach Rwandans about convenient human rights. It is time to redirect your focus!
