Kinshasa criminal regime takes genocide incitement a notch higher, using false narrative of “busting” a non-existent “spy network”

Congolese Tutsi citizens are in greater peril, with the Tshisekedi regime concocts more and more pretexts to perpetrate genocide against them. In their dramatic style, senior DRC government officials yesterday held a contrived event where they announced that they had “dismantled a Rwandan spy network operating in Kinshasa.”

This concocted announcement only shows that the Kinshasa cabal is working around the clock to incite Congolese populations to escalate acts of genocide, which have been ongoing for quite some time.

Scapegoating and Rwandophobia have been the principal tool used by the Tshisekedi regime to divert the attention of the international community from his failures, and highly institutionalized corruption. Secondly, Tshisekedi will create any pretexts, and roil up instability, to postpone – or hold off indefinitely – next year’s elections in DRC! Tshisekedi has never been popular, and only seeks popularity in Rwanda bashing.

The “Rwandan spy network” story is most notable for its ridiculous, disingenuous theatrics.

To begin with, the individuals paraded by the Kinshasa officials are well-known humanitarian workers who have been running an international NGO, AHDO, that fulfilled all required credentials that led to their registration to operate all over Congo, to support the Congolese health sector. Ironically, the partners of the NGO include the UN and the Congolese government. Among the information posted on the NGO’s website, is a photo of the Congolese first lady who attended one of the events organized by the said NGO, which is enough testimony that the state approved of, and appreciated the operations of the NGO.

Another lie propagated by Kinshasa is that they found “a picture of a Rwandan military uniform” in one of the phones confiscated from one of the individuals paraded as “Rwandan spies.”

The said individual attended civic education training in Rwanda, at a particular time, before he ventured to do business in Kinshasa – just like Congolese living in Rwanda work, or engage in different business affairs. Rwanda has never mounted any political witch-hunt against any foreign national in Rwanda, and that includes the thousands of Congolese nationals resident in Rwanda.

The Kinshasa regime should be condemned for inciting hate against people, just because they happen to be Rwandan. Tshisekedi’s actions will only inflame an already tension-packed situation that has seen many Congolese Tutsi attacked, and lynched by armed groups that include FDLR.

Once again, the international community should stand warned that they are staring into the eyes of another impending genocide in the Great Lakes Region.
