Not so long ago, a story aired about a blood black market in Uganda. It told the world how in Uganda, blood is sold by health workers. Inspired, Terrorist Kayumba Nyamwasa writes a fiction that nurses and teachers are not paid in Rwanda. It is his way of protecting the bloodthirsty regime that sponsors him; the least he could do for all the money they throw and waste in his way to destabilize Rwanda.
Whenever the Ugandan regime is in trouble, Kayumba’s Facebook page, Robert Patrick Fati Gakwerere, produces smear on Rwanda. It is now a routine, a fact that even Ugandans have come to accept. The Ugandan regime is always going to scapegoat Rwanda to easy their embarrassing performance. An entire industry in communication has been developed to that effect with names like Sarah Kagingo, Bob Atwine and Giles Muhame prominently featuring in a coordinated Rwandaphobic media exercise.
After his failure to destabilize Rwanda, Terrorist Kayumba has no other way to be useful but to participate in the Dracula regime diversions. The blood market story hides an even darker reality for the 34 years’ old regime, it hides an ideological collapse. Teachers and nurses in Rwanda are paid and they perform diligently. Even during the reconstruction period when salaries were not automatically available, they worked for the nation as a patriotic duty. In contrast, after 34 years of kleptocracy in Uganda, we hear that health workers are selling blood. Corruption has taken roots deep in the NRM led government and trickledown to teachers and nurses in Uganda. The diversion of a fictional tale that salaries are not paid in Rwanda will not change that fact.
Terrorist Kayumba has no interest in the well-being of Rwandans; his fiction is simply designed to protect his sponsor. He heads a terrorist organization, the Rwandan National Congress (RNC) that targeted civilians with grenades attacks. He would like nothing more than to throw grenades at teachers and nurses if he had the chance. He does not care about their salaries or their well-being. Failing to reach his objective to destabilize Rwanda, all he now cares about is the regime that protects him.
Sponsored by a regime so decadent that health workers resort to selling blood, Kayumba Nyamwasa will discover that his cheap diversions to Rwanda will not fool Ugandans. It will only anger Ugandans more, at the end of the day, they want results after 34 years of propaganda.
