An extraordinary head of state summit of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) has just ended their doomed SAMIDRC “peacekeepers” deployment in DR Congo. The Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi aka Tshilombo and the Burundian dictator Ndayishimiye Evariste aka Neva had plotted a scheme to drag the entire SADC block into their genocidal war to purge of Congolese Tutsis in eastern provinces of Congo and evil plans for regime change in Rwanda.
The duo, Tshisekedi and Neva, truly played cheap connman tricks in their efforts to spark regional lwar. When their armies began to kill innocent Congolese Tutsis and burn their villages, an armed resistance quickly turned into a liberation movement that beat them battle after battle. The liberation AFC/M23 pushed back Tshisekedi’s FARDC, Ndayishimiye’s FDNB and FDLR – one of the terrorist organization responsible for the 1994 genocide against Tutsis in Rwanda. The East African Community (EAC) responded to the crisis in DR Congo by deploying a neutral force (EACRF) to oversee a peace process. The EACRF initial success in silencing the gun disrupted Tshisekedi and Ndayishimiye plans to exterminate Congolese Tutsis and their plot to invade Rwanda. EACRF categorically refused to attack the AFC/M23, they were peacekeepers and refused to act as an extension of the Tshisekedi-Ndayishimiye war plan.
As AFC/M23 obeyed the EAC region and advise, even pulling back from areas under their control, Tshisekedi and Ndayishimiye used their time to rearm and lobby for an alternative force that would align to their evil plans. After bribing several SADC leaders, Tshisekedi kicked EACRF out of Congo (only keeping the Burundian contingent) and called in the SAMIDRC force with an offensive mandate against the AFC/M23.
Neva and Tshilombo were happy, they had finally found a force to attack the AFC/M23. They began to openly call for war against Rwanda, Burundian and Congolese officials publicly called for the extermination of Tutsis. They were certain that SAMIDRC would guarantee victory. However, a pattern emerged; Neva and Tshilombo’s coalition (that now included SAMIDRC) would attack an AFC/M23 position just to get a severe beating and lose ground. This pattern continued culminating to a catastrophic defeat in Goma (capital city of North Kivu) and Bukavu (capital city of South Kivu) despite thousands of Burundians, FDLR genocidaires, SAMIDRC, and European mercenaries soldiers in support of Tshisekedi’s FARDC.
SADC suffered a humiliating defeat and blamed Congo for it, they claimed Congolese soldiers simply ran like chicken on the battle field. Burundians blamed also blamed Congolese and lack of equipment. Ironically, Congo blamed all its hired guns (SAMIDRC, Burundians, FDLR, and mercenaries) for not fighting as they had been paid to do.
The fall out and humiliation was too much for SADC countries. In a virtual summit, they pulled the plug on SAMIDRC. Tshilombo and Neva are left alone in their ethnic cleansing efforts, SADC learnt their lesson in the battle for Goma and Bukavu.
