Jambo ASBL is a futile attempt to portray victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi as perpetrators. Jambo is an organisation founded mainly by the children of dignitaries of the genocidal regime which, in addition to being a follower of the denialist theory of double genocide, also claims that the genocide against the Tutsi was never prepared.
Jambo’s members divert attention from genocidal crimes committed by their parents in Rwanda, for them to reject the accusation of denialism this is not a scoop. Most criminals deny the crimes they are accused of. The denialism of Jambo is a fact of public knowledge, which emerges from their numerous writings and declarations.
First, Jambo claims that the genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi was never planned and organized by those in power. For this association, this crime was “spontaneous”, committed by Hutus filled with irresistible popular anger, following the assassination of President Juvénal Habyarimana; Jambo also recently decided, during a meeting of its governing bodies, that in Rwanda there was also a “genocide against the Hutu”. This is of course the good old tactic which aims to put everyone on the same equal footing, to deny the only genocide established by an international criminal jurisdiction and recognized by the United Nations.
The descendants of notorious genocidaires Jambo is desperately making an effort to conceal the crimes against humanity perpetrated by its armed wing, FDLR, in the DRC over the last two decades, the agenda of those children of genocidaires, members of Jambo is not limited to defending the masterminds of genocide and spreading genocide ideology in Belgium and Europe.
They also regularly send official missions to the Great Lakes Region to meet terrorist groups In 2014, they sent their then “President” Placide Kayumba to Eastern DRC to meet FDLR leaders. In 2016, they sent Natasha Abingeneye and Mugabowindekwe Robert (the current president) to Bujumbura to meet FDLR security organs. They also sent Ruhumuza Mbonyumutwa and Laure Uwase to Arusha to meet the genocidaires ministers of 1994.
Jambo persistently disseminates the double genocide theory despite its previous failure to withstand scrutiny, despite previous failures to withstand scrutiny, the organisation refuses to abandon its fallacious narrative. By clinging to this distorted version of history, Jambo not only disrespects the memory of the true victims but also jeopardizes the delicate process of reconciliation that Rwanda is tirelessly pursuing.
RPF fought to repatriate refugees, however those whom Jambo refers to as “refugees stranded in DRC” are vulnerable groups whom it uses as human shielding, more than 20 thousand refugees were repatriated by RPF and more are still coming, but Jambo keeps mobilising those FDLR members to not come back in their motherland, they have set many initiatives aimed to help them, this claim challenges the narrative, highlighting potential vulnerabilities within the refugee crisis. The complex interplay between advocacy and accusation adds layers to the understanding of the situation.
There is nothing that Jambo ASBL can do to hide their genocide ideology agenda, even if the Belgian government continue to help them, their divisive agenda
