The international community has decided to speak up on the ongoing persecution of Kinyarwanda-speaking Congolese Tutsi citizens amidst the ongoing Congolese civil war opposing the country army (FARDC) against the M23 rebel movement. It’s well known that an anti-Rwanda genocidal, terrorist group (FDLR) fights alongside the FARDC, showing how complicit the Tshisekedi regime is in the genocide targeting Congolese Kinyarwanda-speaking Tutsi citizens. The Tshisekedi regime has completely failed at solving DRC problems and have turned to blame games that “Rwanda is the cause of Congo problems!” Pushing this narrative thus involves pogroms, genocide against Congolese Tutsis, fanned with hate speech that they are “Rwandans.

” The European Union (EU), one of the top donors of DRC, has come out to condemn the country’s political and military authorities over the continued crimes against humanity that the Tshisekedi regime is fanning.

“The EU condemns all demonstrations and hate speech, and calls on the political and military authorities to reject stigmatization, manhunts, and any other act likely to disturb public order, national unity, and cohesion,” reads in part a statement issued by Josep Borrel, the high representative of the EU for foreign affairs.

The statement comes at a time when many Congolese citizens have fallen victim to incendiary and false statements such as “Rwanda seeks to occupy our land rich in gold, coltan, and cobalt for their exploitation and profits.”

Tshisekedi s attack dogs leverage his incendiary speeches while demonstrating and brutalizing their targets. Something that has so far brought about dozens of fatalities, mainly in North Kivu and Maniema provinces, where a majority of Kinyarwanda-speaking Congolese citizens reside.

ICC should step in and indict senior Congolese regime authorities. There can be no doubt that they are behind the continued public incitements, hate speech, and ethnic stereotyping that have sparked genocide.

The victims should get justice.
