The RNC terrorist mouthpiece, David Murunganwa Himbara who constantly tries to sabotage Rwanda with distortions, lies and abuses produced another smear that Rwanda is one of the countries that uses NSO Group technology to hack WhatsApp users. There isn’t a thing he can’t do to tarnish Rwanda to secure his paycheques from Museveni and RNC chief financier Rujugiro.
The problem for the propagandist is that he omits to say that NSO Group technology provide services that are openly available to anyone, anywhere, and anytime, and which are commonly used by governmental agencies for numerous purposes, as well as by private companies worldwide. As mentioned by the NSO group, it is also beyond dispute that the data has many legitimate and entirely proper uses having nothing to do with surveillance or with NSO, so there can be no factual basis to suggest that a use of the data somehow equates to surveillance.
Again, the cocaine-sniffing chief mouthpiece should be reminded of what the Rwandan head of state said regarding hacking telephones of terrorist like members of Himbara’s RNC. He said “It is absolute nonsense my dear. that technology was not made for me. It is very expensive from what I have read.”
But Himbara’s cheap propaganda cannot change the fact that his sponsor Yoweri Museveni and his regime continue to commit potential abuse and human rights violations using an invasive surveillance system bought from China’s telecoms giant Huawei. In 2019, Ugandan police officials confirmed Himbara’s sponsor Museveni used at least $126 million of Ugandan taxpayers to procure those surveillances tools used to track and kill innocent Ugandans.
In truth, Scapegoating Rwanda via the drug addict mouthpiece continue to show how desperate his sponsors are getting.
